1. Who I am
Calm With Sumit is the trading name of Sumit Sharma, who runs a mindfulness and grounding skills coaching service from Pune, India (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what personal information I collect through calmwithsumit.com and my coaching, how I use it, and your choices. You can reach me at hello@calmwithsumit.com.
2. Information I collect
- Information you give me. Your name, email address, and booking details when you book through Cal.com, and anything you write to me by email or share with me in a session.
- Information collected automatically. Technical details such as your IP address, browser, device, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar tools.
3. Health information you choose to share
My coaching supports people living with health conditions, so you may choose to tell me about your health during a session or in a message. You never have to. If you do, I use it only to provide your coaching, I keep it confidential, and I don’t share it except as described in section 7. I am not a healthcare provider and don’t keep medical records. By sharing health information with me, you agree that I may use it for these purposes.
4. How I use your information
- To schedule, deliver, and follow up on sessions.
- To reply to your questions and send messages you’ve asked for.
- To keep business records.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To meet legal obligations.
I don’t sell your personal information.
5. Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, I rely on: your consent (for example, cookies and any health information you choose to share), the need to carry out a contract with you (booking and delivering sessions), my legitimate interests in running and improving the service, and legal obligations.
6. Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions and, with your consent where required, to understand traffic and search performance (Google Analytics, Jetpack analytics, and Google Search Console). You can change your choices through the cookie notice on the site or in your browser settings.
7. Who I share information with
Only with service providers who help me run the service, under their own privacy terms: Cal.com (scheduling), WPX (website hosting), Google Analytics and Google Search Console (website analytics and search performance), Jetpack (website analytics), and email services. I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if I believe it is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
8. International transfers
I am based in India. The services I use (listed in section 7) may store or process your information in other countries, including the United States, the UK, and the EU. Each provider handles those transfers under its own privacy terms and safeguards. By using this website or booking a session, you understand that your information may be processed outside the country where you live.
9. How long I keep it
I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Booking and accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires. Other information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your information, to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to receive a copy of your data. To use any of these rights, email hello@calmwithsumit.com. If you are in the UK or EU, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Security
I use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online service can be completely secure.
12. Children
My services are for adults aged 18 and over. I don’t knowingly collect information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
